展館簡介：威海，地處膠東半島，三面環(huán)海，擁有得天獨(dú)厚的海濱旅游資源,近年來，又建設(shè)了中央電視臺威海影視城、西霞口野生動物園等一大批景區(qū)景點(diǎn)，是首批中國優(yōu)秀旅游城市。1990年和1999年兩度被聯(lián)合國評為“最適合人類居住的最佳范例城市”。近十年來威海市社會經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)生了翻天覆地的變化，和鄰近韓國貿(mào)易發(fā)展迅速，并設(shè)立定期的大規(guī)?！巴n經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易洽談會”。但到目前為止，全市還沒有一個具有規(guī)模的會展中心。這與威海日益擴(kuò)大的對外貿(mào)易經(jīng)濟(jì)規(guī)模不相適應(yīng)。因此，在威海興建一個具有國際水平的會展中心已經(jīng)刻不容緩。威海國際會展中心計(jì)劃總投資8億元人民幣，占地面積10萬平方米，建筑總面積8萬平方米。中心建成后，以舉辦國內(nèi)外各種大型會議、展覽及博覽會為主、集展覽、貿(mào)易、會議、娛樂、飲食等多項(xiàng)功能于一體，并以其宏偉的氣勢、完美的設(shè)計(jì)和精良的設(shè)施，成為威海市的城市標(biāo)志和市政府重要的公益性設(shè)施。預(yù)計(jì)每年可產(chǎn)生直接經(jīng)濟(jì)效益2億元，間接經(jīng)濟(jì)效益8億元。 Surrounded by the sea at three sides ,Weihai city ,one of the first group excellent tourism cities of China, lies in the east end of the Shandong peninsulaowns favorable seaside resources for tourism.
